For SET Construction, the prevention of accidents is a primary objective. We strongly believe that every working person is entitled to work in a safe and healthy environment. The responsibility for the health and safety of our employees goes far beyond simple compliance with the regulatory requirements. We recognise that the protection of our employees, the public and the environment are essential to the efficient and successful completion of every construction project we undertake.
SET Construction has established an award winning Accident Prevention Program that includes formal safety training, inspections, audits and a formalised system of reporting. We recognise that accident prevention is everyones responsibility, from the Directors all the way through to our building workers. We train our Managers, supervisors and employees to identify and correct unsafe conditions and more importantly unsafe working practices. Our branch and project management teams administer our Accident Prevention Program at the branch and project level, with the support of a full-time Safety Manager reporting directly to the Profit Center Manager. At the corporate level, our program has oversight and management from a full-time Safety Director and an Operations Safety Manager. Safety is not something we do in addition to the work it is part of our everyday life. |
